PS Another ingot (two actually) I made in class on Friday after three failed attempts to pour it smoothly into the mould on Thursday. I was aiming to make one larger ingot but some of the gold spilled from the crucible as I was pouring and it landed on the soldering block. I don’t have a project in mind for this gold so I decided not to try a fifth time. If I need a bigger ingot down the road I’ll remelt them.
