Victorian Abergele:

... the locality was severely handicapped by the difficulty of getting fresh water. it was the generous action of the late Mrs Jones Bateman to sink a well and erect a public pump at the roadside.
The pump itself was a work of art, massive and glorious; but there was a 'but'. The water came from under the churchyard close by and was very soon condemned as unfit for human consumption.

The contractors currently on site will mostly only be felling the trees marked yellow. Other contractor apparently responsible for felling trees marked orange.
