Maybe time to give #DuckDuckGo a try.

I rewrote my browser actions. Safari is no longer assumed as the default. The actions are meant for opening the current tab/window in another browser (e.g. #Arc, @brave , #Firefox).
You could do this manually with ⌘L, Instant Send …. It's just more convenient with a dedicated action. 🌍⚡️
Plus, you can set it so it closes the tab/window in the current browser automatically. 🧹
