Finally finished #Avenue5. Would have to be one of my favourite shows in a while. So ridiculous.

Taken with the absurdist refrain "Together there are more of us!" in the HBO sci-fi comedy series Avenue5, I checked to see if it was original to the show ... and it turns out to have been an actual anti-fascist/anti-extremism campaign slogan from Slovakia. We learn something every day! And now I want one of those tee-shirts.

I've been watching some space-themed comedies.

I'm sad that #SpaceForce was cancelled before we learned why Lisa Kudrow's character landed in prison.

#Moonbase8 was amusing while it lasted.

I just found #Avenue5. It has Ethan Phillips, who was Neelix on #StarTrek and Hugh Laurie from House in a role he's great in. There's a lot to it, and it's made me smile and laugh.

Wife and I finally (long after the fact) finished S.2 of "Avenue 5," which has, of course, been canceled by HBO. Delightfully absurd, wickedly barbed, and a fine SF comedy. Also, #HughLaurie .

We'll never know the end of the story, but it was a fun ride. #Avenue5

#Avenue5 has been cancelled. No Season 3. i didn't realize it was a comedic take on #Aniara - also a cruise--ship/spaceship that malfunctions and goes off course.
Aniara (Greek for 'despair') is a well done slow paced Swedish movie with much bleakness and despair... broken by requisite sex orgy.

They scripted Neelix going off to heroically sacrificing himself, had him wimp out of it and accidentally save the fucking day anyway?

Couldn't they have just killed the fuck? I know, I know, the actor is just REALLY good at playing really annoying people but, just...

Love the rest of the cast, most of the plotting is a bit meh, but nice to see Critchlow given a leading role all the way thru
