#Mexico and #Spain have been working since 2014 to recover one of the greatest shipwrecked treasures of the Gulf of Mexico. On November 1, 1631, the galleon “Our Lady of Juncal” sunk in the #Campeche Sound due to a monster storm. She had set sail from #Veracruz on October 14, bound to #Seville and carried tonnes of silver coins, gold ingots, indigo and cochineal dye, silk, jewels and gems. Just 39 (of 300 +) passengers could survive. Its remains are yet to be found.

I worked offshore #SPAR (Underwater welding Dry Habitat dropped 300 feet below). In the past as a Certified Commercial #Saturation Diver (Browning & Company, #Pemex_Pipeline, (#Bay of #Campeche, #Yucatan)
Back in the 80's drilling for #OIL would discover #Natural_Gas wells instead.
