A lot of sellers were concerned about the impact of #EtsyStrike because conventional wisdom is that putting one's shop on vacation will take about a month to recover in algorithmic promotion (in part because listing fees, including "renewal" on quantity listings as they sell, get you a bite of that promotion).

I was curious to see whether they'd give strikers a little under-the-table promo and anecdata says they did: despite having very few shop items right now I'm seeing a tiny sales spike.

I am unable to move shops for a lot of reasons, but i'm still fighting for a better platform for all those still on it. Sales here are important for me to stay afloat however, lots of artists have personal non-etsy shops so if you see something you like, be sure to reach out to the artist!

I'm joining the #EtsyStrike, and my shop will go into vacation mode tonight.

My shop is so small, that I didn't think it would make any difference. But I've decided that it doesn't matter how small I am. I still have a voice :)
