After two weeks of testing, I can report a high degree of satisfaction with #Joplin #JoplinNotes

For my use cases, the main feature missing from core is full-text search inside PDF attachments

Luckily, plugins are here for the rescue: #Athena imports PDFs (and other files) and extracts the contained text into the note metadata so it becomes searchable 👍

I've migrated my notes to #joplin #JoplinNotes now and will test the #userexperience for the next week

So far, installation, migration, and synchronization have all worked like a charm

So my excitement with #Windows went well and I found things that worked better, but then I went back to #Arch #Linux and fixed #protonvpn and switch back from #obsidianmd to #JoplinNotes so that it will sync between my #IPhone and computer running Arch Linux. I guess after 12 years there’s no going back.

@tony1960 #JoplinNotes is my goto for note taking. I don't know how similar to Google Keeps it is but it's an excellent OneNote alternative. It doesn't natively support drawing but there might be an extension for it if you really need it

Inzwischen hat #joplinapp #JoplinNotes viele Plugins, z.Zt. nur für Notebook/Desktop. Dort gibt es mehere Tabellen Plugins incl. (inline Markdown) Table Calculation, am besten kombinieren, Mindmap, Mermaid, Plantuml für bestimmte Grafiken, Excalidraw, Freehand Drawing, Draw.io, Notelink System (crosslinking ähnlich wie Obsidian, Logseq etc.). Mobil ist Freehand drawing noch beta.

Nutze etliche plugins, was die Arbeit sehr erleichtert, mußte auch etwas suchen+probieren

@wojtekbrejnak For Simple Daily notes I use #Nextcloud Notes on #Android, and Marktext on Windows/Linux for Nextcloud Notes on Desktop. #JoplinNotes I use for more complex Note like Linux, Windows Howtos, Webclipper for interesant Articles etc.

#joplin on iOS using iPhone 6 plus. I haven’t been able to use the app because of this. #JoplinNotes #app
