Currently reading. So very good, in surprising ways. I haven't read the Kraus bio ("bio"?) that caused a stir a few years ago, and didn't know that much about Acker, but I'd read some of her work a lifetime ago, which left me with, let's say, a very specific and, it turns out, woefully narrow, idea of who she was. Strong recommend.

Today is the 25th anniversary of the death of #KathyAcker. Hard to believe she’s been gone so long. Here’s my shelf of books she wrote.

On this day, November 30th, in 1997: Kathy Acker died from complications due to breast cancer at an alternative cancer clinic in Tijuana, Mexico. She was in Room 101. She was 50 years old.

Today’s book club: “Blood and Guts in High School.” “Don Quixote: Which Was a Dream,” “Pussy, King of the Pirates,” and her pieces in Re/Search magazine.
