Would love someone to do a proper deep dive on the 1993 live action Mario Bros movie.

Firstly, because I seem to be one of few people who actually liked it.

Secondly, because the story of the two directors that made the film is really interesting and totally skipped over by everyone.

One look down their IMDB shows them starting of their careers with an animated short called "Marx for Beginners".

After then having a bunch of music video credits, for Talking Heads amongst others, they then went on to create 80s cult icon Max Headroom.

Throughout Channel 4's The Max Headroom show and the spinoff US action series, the Marxist influence continues to show through.

Judging these directors based on The Mario Bros movie alone is silly.

And the movie "not being faithful" to the games, isn't a good enough critique, in my mind. It's not like there was a strict lore tying all the games in the series together as it was.

I liked the silly cyberpunk dystopia. It was fun. Granted, I havn't seen it in a while but I reckon I will like it still if I watch it again.

I've revised my Edison Carter embedding for #StableDiffusion this morning and he's a lot more realistic now!

The original was fun, but it was a bit of an exaggerated depiction. Much less exaggerated now.

Trained on 60+ frames from the ABC series itself (which is the new part), and it's promotional imagery. Also took out a couple questionable ones.
