#TheInternational, 2009, starring #CliveOwen and #NaomiWatts, and directed by #TomTykwer, starts strong but loses its way with the indulgent and overlong #shootout in the #GuggenheimMuseum.

The scenario in mosque and subsequent rooftop chase make no sense.

The end though is just right, and the clippings reminded me #TheConstantGardner: Whole stories told, totally hidden in seemingly unrelated public announcements.

Overall, ok.

The #DavidCronenberg Russian-gangsters-in-London story with several of my favorite modern-era actors: #ViggoMortenson #NaomiWatts #VincentCassel and (especially) #ArminMuellerStahl. The gorgeous cinematography is by longtime Cronenberg collab #PeterSuschitzky (Naked Lunch, Crash).

#CW: Not for the squeamish.

I've known of #MulhollandDrive since its release in 2001 I even believed I had seen it, maybe I had but only the first 15 minutes of it seemed familiar. Is it possible I'd never seen it completely... anyway, I think it's quite damn good, glad I finally saw it... terrific casting, #LauraElenaHarring #NaomiWatts typically whack #DavidLynch story... #JustinTheroux, wouldn't have known then, now after #TheLeftovers and #TheMosquitoCoast outstanding... I love finding an older film, still to be seen…
