This is the single biggest sacrifice I had to make going #OffGas. Some people might consider it extreme, but I have no regrets. I'm saving enormous amounts of #energy and #water.

I can shave and wash my hair and body with a single 5 liter filling, even when my hair is longer. In summer hot water is free, and in winter I need to bring 1.5 liter to a boil.

I haven't reported on the #gasless #heating front for a while. And the reason for that is that it's boring AF. Yup, here I am sitting in a chair again, with a room temperature of 15 °C again, wearing normal clothes again, locally heating with a portable foldable #infrared panel again, being entirely comfortable again.

The red arrow indicates where I turned the #FridgeOff. It's safe to assume that everything above 3~4 kWh is for heating.

I find this to be a very reasonable amount of energy. If I had to heat the air in my entire room electrically with a 2000 kWh heater, the consumption would be through the roof! #OffGas #NoGas #Gas

Buying the #infrared panels this summer has definitely been one of the better choices I made in life.

It's weird how fast the weather changed. When I turned off the fridge on the 28th of October, it was still too hot outside to keep *anything* safe. Now things in the "outdoor fridge" are colder than they would have been in the indoor fridge, and I have to low-key worry about the contents freezing solid.

Grid consumption dropped from 7 to 3 kWh that week. This week I set a new weekly record of 10 kWh, nearly all of that for the IR panels.

TL;DR it cold.
