#SocialMedia #Twitter #Archiving #BlackTwitter: "Black Twitter has been a force since the platform started, creating a space for everything from discussing daily life to helping launch and spotlight movements like #BlackLivesMatter and #OscarsSoWhite.
Now, one woman is seeking to archive it, as Twitter's future appears uncertain.
Who is she? Meredith Clark is an associate professor of communications and journalism at Northeastern University. She is launching the Archiving Black Twitter project as part of the Archiving the Black Web initiative."

And not every feature Twitter had only brought more evil into the world. This is true even is people outside the Black community don't recognize that. #BlackLivesMatter and #OscarsSoWhite were birthed in those tools and helped change things for the better. We shouted the names of #TamirRice and others with those tools.
So yes...there's going to be a discuss about bringing them here.

There will need to a moment where what happens on Mastodon makes a real difference to the world. When the #BlackLivesMatter or #OscarsSoWhite moment happens for Mastodon, it will be truly over for Twitter.
No idea when that moment will come but hope we're ready.
