Excellent news that Ireland’s Citizens’ Assembly on Biodiversity Loss have voted to protect #biodiversity in a proposed amendment to the constitution:
‘The proposed constitutional change would recognise #nature as a holder of legal rights, comparable to companies or people.”
Sincerely hope this is passed in Ireland, and that the UK follows suit! 🌱 #RightsOfNature

In a letter from the #Pope to the Argentine Association of Professors of Criminal Law (AAPDDP), the Pope again recommends criminalising #ecocide and recognising the #RightsofNature. Good news!?

In itself, it is extraordinary that the ecclesiastical leader of Christianity is calling for the protection of the rights of nature, but the letter contains the Christian snag that nature does serve humanity (and should be protected for that reason).
