Für mein #RockyMountain kam heute ein neues Laufrad: Ein 26" Ryde Andra 40 mit Deore XT Nabe und Freilauf für 9-fach Kassette. Da ich selbst kein Leichtgewicht bin und noch was zuladen will - einfach besser!

Ich habe mir heute selbst eine Freude gemacht und das #RockyMountain auf die Straße gebracht. Ende Oktober habe ich den Rahmen gekauft, weil ich ein 26 Zoll #Reiserad aufbauen wollte. Dazu habe ich eine #Deore XT Gruppe von einem #Scott Team Racing benutzt und andere Teile, die ich da hatte. Jetzt wird das Bike gefahren und über die Zeit optimiert. Spezieller Dank geht an @mattias , der mir so oft bei technischen Fragen geholfen hat! 🤗

the seatpost clamp arrived today 30 mm was the accurate size. I am looking forward taking this bike to the streets :) Next steps: back rack, fenders. After more riding: cockpit change to a more touring geometry with a relaxed position #RockyMountain #MTB #Fahrrad #BikeKitchen #Fahrradwerkstatt

Friday is #NewBikeDay :) Even though our kitchen now is a mess, I switched components to my new #RockyMountain frame to have a quick check of the size. The fork looks a little bit alien to the frame, I know! Will buy new shifter and brake cables tomorrow.

New project is ready to start! After DHL stored my shipment in some digital nirvana, the #RockyMountain frame finally arrived! It has a very special powder-coated color somewhere between sparkleing grey, green, black. This bike shall turn from a MTB into a universal everyday bike with options for touring. The seller was a little strange and put me some unwanted old tires into the box 🤔 The conversion will start soon! #bikeKitchen #fahrradWerkstatt
