Here’s my contribution to #RomanFortThursday with some photos of the remains of the Mediobogdum Fort at Hardknott Pass near Eskdale, Cumbria.
My main memory of this fort was the lung-busting hike up the pass to reach it. I wouldn't want to have done it as a roman soldier wearing sandals and armour. #Hardknott

#RomanFortThursday 👉 Am vergangenen Wochenende war ich mit einigen Darstellern aus der Reenactment Szene auf der #Saalbrug. Es ist immer spannend die antiken Stätten mit Leben zu füllen. Die Saalburg ist das einzige komplett rekonstruierte Kohortenkastell in Deutschland und verfügt zudem über ein gut erhaltenes Kastelldorf mit Straße und Streifenhäusern.
