@louisrcouture Quebeckers (especially francophones) are more insulated from the US culturally, and therefore less affected by the ideological fashions that come from there than English Canadian elites. But we're not fully protected: there is still an empty spot where the statue of Sir John A. Macdonald belongs in Montréal.

I knew nothing about , other than that Ontarians named a university after him. If the article gives an accurate picture, then it seems the horrible features of were not his fault.
