A wary little skink peeps out between two flowerpots.

Our former home was a log house with a wide front porch. When I sat on the porch reading, if I kept very still, tiny baby skinks would come out to sun themselves. They were unbelievably small and delicate, with bright blue tails, and feet so microscopic it seemed they couldn't be real. They'd settle down on their tummies, wiggle a few times to get comfy, then press their legs against their bodies and doze.

Skink reclining between the glass and the shade cloth blind outside my kitchen. Safe from birds there. Sometimes they come in and have to be relocated. We see several every day.

Hello, Fediverse! I'm looking for anyone who knows about ; can you suggest ways to keep out of my cat run? I'm attempting to save wildlife from harm by keeping my cats safely enclosed, but it doesn't work when the wildlife walks into the cage! Would adding a finer mesh around the outside do anything or are the lizards likely to climb over that as well?

Our yard is full of , and I love it.

They're Eastern Water (Eulamprus quoyii), very common in Sydney but charming nonetheless.
