#TTRPG #TweetReview - Caverns Dungeon Floor Plans
The first "Dungeon Tiles" I ever owned published by Games Workshop for use with Warhammer Fantasy Battle and Roleplay and they are magnificent.
A ton of detail, great locations and art.
I would love to see these republished!
#Boardgame #Tweetreview Battleship Galaxies
Did you know there was an asymmetric tactical fleet battle version of Battleship, designed by Wizards of the Coast?
It seems most people didn't as few people bought this great game and it went out of print without an expansion.
Battlelore Second Edition from Fantasy Flight Games
I have mixed thoughts. I love the random scenario system. It fully embraced Fantasy battles, no real world history here. Much better minis. Still the great Commands & Colors system.
But I prefer 1e.
Castle Drachenfels
This sourcebook and adventure for Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay was best if you have also read the novel, which I did.
I put this in the middle of our Enemy Within Campaign and it was a huge hit. Also appreciated the new spells and items.
Battlelore from Days of Wonder.
This is the game that introduced me to the Commands & Colors system which I instantly fell in love with. I also dug that they used fantasy races to recreate an actual historic war. The minis were oddly soft but worked.
carry. a game about war
This was one of the first games I was a playtester on and how I met the awesome N.D. Paoletta
In addition to that this game changed my entire opinion on what an RPG can be. It was eye opening and life changing.
#TTRPG #Tweetreview Cardmaster Adventure Design Deck
Loved the concept, a deck of cards for creating random dungeons. Sadly it sounded better in theory than it worked in practice.
I wanted so much more from this than you got. The system for playing solo was terrible.
#Boardgame #Tweetreview Battleground: Crossbows & Catapults.
I have no idea how this game tied to the original C&C legally but this was not the C&C I grew up with. This was a poor shadow of the game I loved as a kid. This was more of an activity with cool pieces than a game.
#Boardgame #Tweetreview - BattleCON: War of Indines
While not actually branded this way this is Street Fighter the Board Game and it's fantastic.
Super asymmetric and really does give you the feel of a 2d battler.
Enough in this box I never felt the need to expand on it.

Campaign Sourcebook and Catacomb Guide - DMGR1
I loved these grey/blue books for AD&D 2e. This was the first of the DM sourcebooks in this series.
My favourite part of this book was a look at different dungeon types and why things should be where they are.
#TTRPG #TweetReview - Bushido
When I first got into RPGs this game had a reputation of being the hardest game to actually roleplay properly in, requiring you to memorize a code of honour and follow it.
Years later I picked up a copy to check it out and sadly it's still sitting on my shelf unread. Even 30 years later I'm still intimidated.
The Battle at Kemble's Cascade
This is Galaga or any scrolling shooter video game in board game form.
It uses a brilliant system of horizontal trays that hold cards to represent the rows of baddies and creates a scrolling effect by moving trays from the bottom to the top.
Sadly it has a fiddly and slow system that doesn't fit the theme. I want fast furious fun and it's more tactical and strategic.
#Boardgame #TweetReview Batavia
This is a very cool, hidden gem set collection card game set in Asia during the era of the East India Companies.
Collect cards and play sets to deliver goods while trying to avoid the attention of pirates.
I need to get this to the table again.
#Boardgame #Tweetreview Bastille from Queen Games
This is a real hidden gem. Elegantly designed with some cool bidding mechanics and a unique way of doing set collection.
Component quality is great and it's well worth checking out.

#Boardgame #Tweetreview Baseball Highlights 2045
I wanted this game for a long time, heard great things about it, finally got it and played it and even had a good time playing it. There was still lots to learn and experience.
For some reason though this never hits the table. I'm never saying: hey let's play this!
#TTRPG #TweetReview The Breeder Bombs for Marvel Super Heroes
This was the first official module for TSR Marvel. I ran this recently and it was pretty good. Some great RP scenes and memorable combats.
My only complaint is the fact all the villains end up being robots for some reason. Like they didn't have the rights to have you beat up real Marvel villains or something.
#TTRPG #TweetReview - The Bot Abusers Manual
All kinds of rules for bots in Paranoia (2nd Edition) the most important part is the ability to make bot characters for the first time.
My only complaint about this one is that it was set during the "Reboot" which I never enjoyed playing or running in.
#Boardgame #Tweetreview - Basari
Everyone talks about Chinatown being the best pure trading and negotiation game, well before that there was Basari
This is a hidden gem roll and move economic game all about trading gems with the other players and ensuring you get the best deal
#TTRPG #TweetReview - The Book Of Nod
Originally for Vampire the Masquerade. The Necronomicon in the World of Darkness lore. A physical book to represent an in-game book filled with lore and short stories and iconic WoD artwork.
At the time I thought it was very cool.
#TTRPG #Tweetreview AC4 The Book of Marvelous Magic
This book always looked like a 3rd party product. It doesn't match the layout or art style of anything else for D&D at the time, despite being written by Gygax and Mentzer.
500 new magic items for D&D with AD&D conversion rules in the back of the book.
Honestly don't think I ever used it more than for reading material.
