I was standing very still, with my camera ready, waiting for a LBB (Little Brown Bird) to pop out of the brush. This little critter ran full-tilt down the road right at me, then suddenly stopped about 10 feet away when confronted with this large mammal in its path. I was able to get a few exposures before it turned and scampered back the way it came 😆

This European hare (Lepus europaeus) has been a regular visitor these past few days. It was a bit shy at first, but now it is confident enough to walk right past our windows to nibble on its favourite treats, which also include our flowers and berries sadly. It means less blackberries for us but I'm happy to share with such a cute creature!
