Okay I've been using Mastodon for months now and I still don't understand "Unlisted" visibility. Official documentation says it's identical to "Public" except the post doesn't appear on global timelines. Web UI says it's visible to all but "opted out of discovery features".

Does "discovery features" include tags? If I make a post "Unlisted" but tag it #abcxyz, do people who follow that tag see it or not?? I've searched many times but infuriatingly can't find any answer to this. Anyone know?
