Off the wall question, has anyone ever encountered a senator or representative who has mentioned #AdrenalInsufficiency in any context? Looking for a political #Ally for AI research funding who can help us make inroads with #NIH funders at #NIDDK where #Diabetes is the primary focus. AI is an #Endocrine problem and should be funded through NIDDK but hasn't been a focus primarily due to a lack of #Prevalence studies in my opinion.

Got my hydrocortisone today for #AdrenalInsufficiency. Once again my doctor has cut my dose to 15mg a day, which isn’t enough. And gave me nothing extra for sick days.

Why is it so hard to get a doctor to give you what you need for this disease?! I’m so tired of it. It’s this never ending fight. I was already burned out from my #type1diabetes. Fighting for basic care for adrenal insufficiency is just fuel on the fire and I am exhausted beyond belief.

Another chest infection another day in the life of me. I did so well before COVID19, no flu or colds. I got Covid in March 2020 then in April 2021 before I was eligible for the vaccine, then in Oct 2021 a few days after having the vaccine, then got Flu over Christmas and new years. Now trying to recover from Covid and Flu and have a chest infection. Before all I only had to worry about #addisonsdisease #adrenalinsufficiency #fibromialgia #chronicfatigue #chronicmigraines :-(

Australia is running dry of hydrocortisone.

I have to #crowdfund medication now!

Really not liking this constant changing of HC doses my endo is doing. I was just dx in December with Secondary AI (no known cause yet)

So far they have cut my dose down twice. The first time I almost immediately felt ill, ended up sick and needed to stress dose.

Bc I have t1d, I’m finding it hard to differentiate the symptoms. I just started the second cut down. I’m weak in limbs again, got the headaches, no energy (never really do, but worse), etc.

Few understand it, there’s little info on it, and it’s basically “Here’s some pills. Try not to die. Oh, and since you already have Type 1 Diabetes, your risk of death is higher with AI. I’ll see you in a year.”

Was not a helpful appointment. 😔
