Here are some #wolf pictures from today and yesterday at the center. It was cooler today, like yesterday, but not as windy as yesterday. Which meant that there were flies swarming me.
The #wolves were doing okay, and seemed to attract fewer flies than I did. I guess fur can be a good deterrent.

On a happier note, the other animals were doing well. It was warmer today, but still fairly cold and windy. We had a handful of visitors, and most of them were out and about.
The two pictures below are of the same wolf. He and the other one in this enclosure, actually his niece, are doing quite well and were playful today.

Today the animals are enjoying the snow and cold weather. Many were low key, but a couple of them were playing.

Wolf update. (Pics contain near eye contact.) The #wolves are doing well, it was cooler and very windy today, but of course they don't mind.

Back to the nature center today, so here are some more #wolf pictures. Everyone seems to be doing fine, including the two older ones (one of which is the white one pictured here), who are nearly 15.

A couple more #wolf pics, plus an arctic fox.
When I or visitors walk around the enclosures they'll check people out. They don't usually just make eye contact with people, even though sometimes you can catch it in the picture. If you're doing something different than normal that may catch their attention, for instance I was walking the perimeter of one enclosure to check for damage, and the four wolves in there (at the time) followed me most of the way out of curiosity. The food cart of course also gets their attention.
The foxes do seem a little more willing to look directly at you, interestingly, but they are more comfortable with staff (people they see regularly).

More #wolves. There's actually a third one in this enclosure - two parents and their son, who is the large black one in the picture by himself. We estimate that he weighs around 130 lbs (60 kg), although it's been a while since he was weighed officially. They all put on weight and get fluffier for winter.
This group is actually a little more shy around people, and they don't always come around for visitors. Once in a while the will come around if they hear a staff member working on something, or if there are children nearby. And of course if they're being fed.
