The new version of my paper with Semin Yoo, "Orientable triangulable manifolds are essentially quasigroups" is now available on arXiv! In addition to new images which illustrate our constructions we also have filled a gap in the proof of the main theorem. In order to show that all orientable triangulable manifolds could be created from an \(n\)-ary quasigroup by our construction, we needed to make an appropriate \(n\)-quasigroup for each manifold. What we actually did in the original paper was give a presentation of such an algebraic structure, which is not quite enough to prove the desired result. This new version contains an explicit description of such an \(n\)-quasigroup.

Suppose I have a Zariski-constructible set S defined over the reals R (or even over the integers Z). Is there a nice relationship between the reduced singular (co)homology of its real points and its complex points?

My name is Brian - he/him pronouns. I live in #mpls with my partner Kristin. Grew up in #WI, lived in #OH, 🇬🇧 (#yorkshire), and 🇨🇭(#basel) but #MN is home.

Was #math PhD student (#algebraictopology) but dropped out.

3. The new functionality to follow hashtags is, in my experience, even better than hashtag search. (Probably the same limitations, but the posts with those tags come to my home feed without searching)
