Water is leaking from my flat into the one below. This is due to cost cutting on previous repairs l. Obviously this isn’t the way my landlord sees it. She’s just rung up ranting about a problem with the freezer “caused” by a previous tenant and accuse me of a rat infestation

J'ai eu un voisin comme ça : il s'est installé le 1er juillet, et quelques mois plus tard il était déjà en train de déménager en pleine nuit. Il avait une gang d'amiEs avec lui, et je leur ai donné un coup de main.

Une semaine après, le proprio me demande si j'ai vu le voisin : apparemment qu'il n'avais jamais payé son loyer, hahaha !

Enfin, ça ne serait pas aussi facile maintenant : les proprios se montent des listes sur nous ... peut-être qu'on devrait se monter des listes de proprios, nous aussi ...

Today myself and @jam were in a coffee shop and overheard a 20-something person on the phone very firmly but politely putting their foot down to (what we can deduce) a useless letting agent about ending their lease early due to an obviously shitty landlord - and I just want to say I'm proud that we as a generation finally feel empowered and respect ourselves enough to say no to parasitic scumlords

Further to this. Yesterday my neighbour in flat #4 had a large parcel stolen. This has never happened before in this stair.

It occurred to me that for the first time in seven years I don't know who all of my neighbours in the stair are, or which flats are illegal STLs. With ANYBODY gaining access to the stair we have zero security.
