I remember very distinctly where I was and how I felt when I first discovered The X-Files; and how my mother found me bawling my eyes out while I was watching Season 6’s ‘Closure”, promptly rolled her eyes, muttered “X-Files” and left me alone. I remember the adrenaline of BSG’s ’33’, and yelling at Gauis Baltar for much of season 2 and 3. I remember how a simple line of “I can’t swim” made me realised how great Andor would be, and by the end of it, it wasn't merely about Empires and Rebellions, but about what people sacrificed for their beliefs. And then there’s the show that set out to break me every week: The Last of Us.

It took me a long time to emotionally connect (in a changed-my-life sort of way) to a show between BSG and Andor. But sometimes, something comes along, and you realised you’re going to love it for the rest of your life. And that list has grown from 2 to 4 in the last year.
