I'm chugging along on my carefully outlined October spooky story that I'm setting up for serialization, and suddenly I have another character who I sense is going to misbehave - she was sort of a throwaway placeholder just to get through chapter 3, but it turns out she's sassy and full of attitude and definitely a match for the main character (for whom I have entirely different plans). I'm doing alternating FMC/MMC chapters in the current project, and needed one more male POV to finish it up; I've just done 2K words of a circle jerk to a scene starring a character from a romance-on-a-porn-set WIP in my queue for a little cross-promotional, in-universe fun. I was wrapping up what I thought would be the last bit of writing on my current project, a middle chapter I had left undone, and suddenly one of the characters started to divulge some juicy secrets that demand at least a sequel. About 2K words this morning - I just realized that I've been promising in my newsletter that the final scene in next week's release will be mind-blowingly hot, but I haven't actually written it yet.
