@OldAndCranky I understand your point of view. Virtually all 'religion' is contaminated. You may find an alternative perspective in a book such as Jacques Lusseyran's And There Was Light. Lusseyran was blinded at age 7, but went on to become a leader in the French Resistance. He discovered an inner source of light that guided him through the ordeal. He ultimately survived imprisonment in Buchenwald concentration camp. A 'spiritual' memoir of the highest order.
I've been reading Meacham's "And There Was Light." Man, the parallels between the early 1800's Democratic Part and today's #RepublicanParty are astonishing. Don't get me started on #christianity, which hasn't improved because people suck on such a basic level.
