the poor or completely absent coverage of the events in #Lützerath by the #English-language press is a disgrace (but as one commenter replied to my original #German-language post, completely normal), and speakks volumes about the #AngloAmerican worldview. If one exclusively read the English-language media, one could conclude that Greta Thunberg was the beginning and end of the German environmental movement, that what happened had only to do with the hamlet of Lützerath, and not with #CO2 emissions or Germany breaking the #ParisClimateAgreement, that on Saturday there was not a crowd of 35,000 people who assembled around Lützerath, that no #PoliceBrutality occurred there, that there will be no political consequences over the clearing out of Lützerath for #coalmining, etc.

I had planned to look into this in detail and write about it, but I no longer have any desire to do so, it is too depressing. Instead here are a few examples:
