One observation of mine from #Animazement this weekend:

I could count the number of #desis there on one hand (on the Saturday of a midsize local #comicCon in a region with way more #IndianAmericans than typical).

That's indicative of the overall conservatism of the diaspora, where creatives are rare and the pressure to conform and be a "Good #Indian" is common.

I was also bummed that my #Mastodon #server was unavailable this weekend because I went to #Animazement and wanted to share photos from a great #anime focused #ComicCon.

Here's me as #ScottPilgrim, just plain irritated by an email from some dude named 'Matthew Patel.'

Remembering #KevinLillard who passed away this week. He had a big impact on the anime scene in the early 2000s. Without him a lot of that would be lost to time. This is a picture of him from #animazement 2000.

We liked to take a pic of him when we saw him because he did so much photography for us.
