It's Commedia dell'Arte Day this month so everyday we'll highlight a character or core element!

The most famous character is Arlecchino, the always hungry, often foolish, happy-go-lucky patchwork wearing literal harlequin second zanni servant!

10 years ago this week a few Players of the Patchwork got to watch a commedia dell'arte style "Beauty & the Beast" by the CATCO is Kids theatre in Columbus! They liked our choice of shirt! 🤣

A few years later we wrote our own commedia "Beauty is the Beast" which we staged at Cleveland ConCoction and Marcon. Maybe we'll encore it at Pennsic soon?

Some of the Players of the Patchwork and friends rang in the New Year with a weekend of board gaming. Appropriately enough we started off with trying out Arlekino, a strategic puzzle game with colors and shapes inspired by Arlecchino, the famous commedia dell'arte harlequin!
