Breakfast was waiting — baked #puffball #mushroom, thin-sliced onion, lettuce & chipotle pepper salsa on the best (bought) #bread in the🌎 — sub roll from an #AtlanticCity bakery. Skip the casinos, definitely try the bread. Under Interior Department’s approval, as many as 98 #windturbines and three #offshorewind substations could be installed about 13nm southeast of #AtlanticCity, with power cables coming ashore in #OceanCounty and #CapeMay County. According to the #BOEM, the project is estimated to have a generating capacity of 1.1GW, capable of powering more than 380,000 homes over the opposition of some local residents.

Teil des Besuchs in den Staaten sollte ein Abstecher nach #atlanticcity sein.
Atlantic City erlebte im frühen zwanzigsten Jahrhundert einen Boom als beliebter Urlaubsort. Nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg ging es aber bergab. Es wurde versucht, durch die Legalisierung von #glücksspiel dem Ort neues Leben einzuhauchen. Das Ergebnis ist ein Boardwalk mit riesigen Luxusresorts, während der Rest der Stadt vergessen scheint. Nicht der schönste, aber ein sehr interessanter Ort.
