On 8-Jan-22, an accident on the bridge on Ti Rakau ended with the bridge rails, a car tyre getting dropped into the Pakuranga Creek

Twelve months later, the bridge has been repaired and repainted, but the bits that fell into the creek are still there (along with 4 road cones added during the repairs)

Such a lack of coordination between #AucklandCouncil
departments doesn't do much to support Auckland Council #environment commitments

Today the Puketāpapa Local Board had a shared lunch after our final business meeting for 2022. We passed unanimously the plan change 78-83 feedback I helped prepare & our Annual Budget feedback that highlighted how cuts to discretionary LB funding would affect local communities- the Mayor's proposed 5% cut to local board budgets sounds small but translates to 47% of our programmes.
