I'm not a fan of the thing that some streaming services are doing whereby you finally decide what to watch, pick it and press play and then they pre roll a trailer for another TV show entirely.

Like excuse me, I just *finally* decided what to watch. Please don't show me something else now. Of course I'm going to skip that shit.

Every time I click on a news link in a toot and hit a paywall I value the BBC even more.

I get that good news costs and the value of proper journalism; I know I'm paying for BBC News through my license fee but, as a Brit, I'm really unlikely to subscribe to US news sites just to read the occasional article.
