So, I always felt this way and I do now that it is partly due to my upbringings/trauma but also clearly one of my #AutisticTruth (s)
If you are #ActuallyAutistic, I'm curious about how you relate to communication (especially verbal)
Obviously feel free to boost for sample size, and to comment/reply in any way you see fit (or call me out on missing the point if so feel like such is the case)
Disclaimer: I am #ActuallyAutistic but also #Adhd and #cptsd, it is often hard for me to untangle what is due to what, the spectrum is infinite, my voice and experience are but one. More importantly this is a #SelfDx safe place #SelfDxSafe

My #AvtuallyAutistic truth is that while I have found a welcoming family once I accepted said truth online, that while all my meaningful connections have always been on the spectrum I was denied a right to said truth, a right to understand myself by my elders. My autistic truth is that I had to deconstruct every single interaction I know my parents had with their parents in order to compute why they acted the way they did, my #AutisticTruth is that anyone and everyone whom ever met be they on the spectrum themselves or not always recognized me as such. My autistic truth is that I grew up in hospitals where I had to actively mask in order for the needs of my otherwise sick body to be met.
My #AutisticTruth is that while every single doctor I had over the years considered my autism as a given, unmasking meant taking the risk of institutionalization
