If you're getting sick of unoptimized #games and buggy releases, sometimes you don't even have to go back that far to get a decent experience. I've been playing Rage 2, must admit I don't pay much attention to the story, it has great action, it looks pretty decent, and it is pretty well optimized, so much that I can easily play it on a #handheld #AyaNeo2, 800p medium @ 22W for close to a steady 60fps.

Recently got an Aya Neo 2, I remember when I started getting interested in handhelds, you needed to compromise a lot to make them work well in games... Yeah that's not the case anymore! The 6800U just blasts through what you throw at it. Gears 5 runs at a locked 60fps, 1920x1200 @ 22W with a mix of Ultra and medium & low settings, that the game itself found via it's "recommended" setting.

This review is a pretty good example of why I haven't reviewed any handheld gaming PCs in a while.
I'm fascinated by the progress in this space, and happy to see more choices for mobile gaming devices.
But to do an honest review of a device like the AYA Neo 2, not only do you have to spend a fair amount of time playing games (something I don't really do very much these days), but also tweaking settings to see how things change.

It's amazing that the #AYANEO2 can run my #TheWitcher3 presets on the same settings at 1200p with the exact same performance (which is nearly 1440p and looks FREAKING GOOD!) However, the Deck runs cooler and quieter. But, with some caveats aside, it's a valid NextGen option <3

Seeing my optimized Golden 40 #SteamDeck preset for #TheWitcher3 running at 60FPS (800p) on the #Ayaneo2 is still pretty wild, not gonna lie.
