@inthehands I know #SanFrancisco installed traffic cameras at some of the most dangerous intersections where people are most likely to run the red light? But they don’t activate them for unclear reasons. As a #BicycleCommuter, cars running lights is my biggest fear. I have watched horrible things at intersections. Hearing that there are also #fairness reasons to turn them on, I wonder if #SFMTA might reconsider (Oak & Octavia! Every Market street crossing!) and start using them.

As I start to build my Mastodon acct up, I’m hoping to be more informative and show the positive sides of bicycling, walking & public transit compared to my negativity on Twitter. Let’s see how it goes. It can be hard to remain positive when you’re walking/bicycling and drivers consciously or even subconsciously put your life in danger.

I'm a heavy #BicycleCommuter and the only problems I've had were with certain shops that didn't understand I wasn't there to get into racing and just wanted commuter accessories.

Had a problem with good clothing until I found aerotech that made bike shorts that work for me when I go for 20 miles or more. But that took a long time to find online, and no clothing my size ever, even in the good bike shops who understand me.
