Speaking of "chili challenge", a couple of years ago, while in Cebu, and having a meal, I overheard the staff talking in #Binisaya about their on-going promo.
A free meal if you get to finish their super spicy ramyeon within a certain time limit.
Pfft. Easy-peasy.
Growing up in a household speaking several languages has some advantages.
@DocCarms @cendawanita From Aklan, in the #Visayas region we have, Binakol na Manok, which is traditionally cooked inside #bamboo nodes, or coconut shell halves. Very similar to Tinola, except for using young #coconut water (#buko) instead of just water, which makes it slightly sweet.

If my rusty #Binisaya is correct, "Binakol" means to place in a coconut shell (which itself is called "bagol").
