@velshi This song still summons tears. So, I was astonished when #BillMaher complained about the "Black National Anthem" being divisive. He apparently just heard about this song, unaware the title is *Lift Every Voice and Sing*, written by James Weldon Johnson in 1900, on the occasion of Abraham Lincoln's birthday. The #BlackNationalAnthem is merely an affectionate name for it.
