If you have the slightest interest in #ChicagoBlues, you want a copy of “Chicago / The Blues / Today!” I previously only had Vol. 2 — picked up this Vol. 1 reissue from this incredible series two weeks back. This one’s heavy with Junior Wells with Buddy Guy, J.B. Hutto and Otis Spann.

I was so excited about The Aynsley Dunbar Retaliation from hearing just a few tracks on the Sire "History of the British Blues" that I immediately bought 2 ADR #records. This one, a French release of "Retaliation," is some really dark, energetic boogie interspersed with some more traditional blues and a dirge. Excellent #album.

This new album by the 86-year-old Buddy Guy is incredible. Guest spots that don’t detract (and the song with Mavis Staples is stirring), a super solid band … and Buddy truly just gets better. This album kills, and Buddy shows The Beatles how “I’ve Got A Feeling” should have been done.
