@mpjgregoire It would be hard to say that the #BNAAct is illegitimate, since Quebec at least ammended their provincial constitution (who in in the BNA Act) at least two times since 1982. Also all the use of the notwithstanding clause they done.

Over at the other place I was discussing the oath of loyalty issue in #polqc . One fellow claimed the #BNAAct was illegitimate because it hadn't been approved by the legislature of Québec. But, I responded, the province of Québec was created by the BNA Act. Well, the legislature of #LowerCanada then. Go read a history book!

But there was no Lower Canada either at the time, I replied, only the #ProvinceOfCanada .
