The cabinet was built to hold these old drawers I got from @adamgerthel. The plan was to add a top and put it on casters to get an extra work surface on demand, but I completely forgot to account for the white brackets. Current status of my LEGO typography collection. As I find more in the house (and in various second hand lots) I'm setting a few rules. It has to be a printed brick, and it has to be (mostly) words or letters. The yellow bricks at the bottom are probably disqualified, but here they are for now. Added a LED strip to provide lighting for detail work. I'll eventually put a small piece of trim in front of it so it doesn't blind you when looking at it from the front, but I'm already happy with how bright it is. I don't really need any more projects, but found this piece and fell in love with the design. I will restore and preserve the exterior. Not sure about the interior. Try to save the record player? Been using these red boxes to sort my bricks for a while. They're good, but hard to use when stacked. Solved that problem by building this shelving rack out of mostly reclaimed timber. Happy with the functionality, but wish I would've spent more energy to make it pretty. I have so many things I want to get to a functional level in the space so this have to do for now. I need the shelf above the building area to be a single board to accomodate led strips for lighting. You can't buy shelves in those dimensions... so I'm once again occupying the living room with a glue-up. Looking forward to summer when I can do these things outside.
