Das #kalenderblatt berichtet von Louis Daguerre der am 19. August 1839 das von ihm mitentwickelte erste fotografische Verfahren vorstellt.
Es basiert auf der #CameraObscura. Hochglanzpolierte Silberplatten, die mit Joddampf, später auch mit Brom und Chlor, lichtempfendlich gemacht wurden, werden #langzeitbelichtet
Die "Entwicklung" erfolgt mit #Quecksilber und fixiert wird mit Meersalz, später #Zyankali.
Folge: Früher Tod des #Fotograf.

#ThisIsMyJam Honey in the Sun might be my favourite Camera Obscura track. I was lucky enough to see them in a tiny club in Zürich - my daughter and I stood right next to Carey.
I'm not sure the Swiss totally got them. Someone shouted out that they should smile more to which one of the band replied "you might be at the wrong gig."

Vanmorgen vroeg toen ik het raam om 6 uur dichter deed om nog even te kunnen doorslapen, werd ik om 9:20 wakker in een Camera Obscura 📷.
Door het smalle spleetje en de zon op het huis bij de overburen, zie je hun huis ondersteboven tegen de schuine wanden in mijn bedstede. Lief 🥰 toch!?

Some #accidental #cameraobscura happening with these shelves Ali made from cardboard and joint compound plaster. I poked little holes in backs when they were cardboard so I could run wires through to light up some of my doodles. I didn't even realize what we had made till the room was dark.
The custom shelves are really neat, each cubby with a doodle glows a different color!

The view over the River Nith and Dumfries projected onto a circular table by the camera obscura at the superb Dumfries Museum.
