I’m guessing most of the viewers of the High School Hockey Tournament aren’t into the nuances of greenwashing, so maybe they feel good that they can continue life as usual, and #ccs will save the planet. @Meyerweb It also gives a sense of what much-discussed #CarbonDioxideRemoval (#CDR) would mean: Removing equivalent, gargantuan amounts of CO2 from the atmosphere and store them sowewhere. Is this a realistic option? I'm sceptical.

I’m an outsider, but here’s what I think I know:

It’s easier to capture carbon dioxide from ethanol plants than from fossil fuel combustion. Therefore, fossil fuel is pouring money into infrastructure to capture CO2 from ethanol production, pipe it long distances, and store it underground.
