This week, McDonald’s asked corporate employees, who usually work from the office at least three days a week, to do the job from home. The plan was to lay off hundreds of employees, and the company preferred to deliver its news virtually.

McDonald’s isn’t the only company to tweak the layoff playbook. In January, Google laid off thousands via email. So did Meta. #ChickenShits

I turned on the TV this morning just in time to see body-cam footage from a US Park Police cop who stupidly found himself trapped in the backseat of a car while a startled out of his sleep 17 yr old in the drivers seat sped away.

Does the cop reason with the kid, advise him to pull over, or maybe get on his radio and call out where they're headed?

Nope.

Just executes the kid. Takes his gun out, fiddles around with it, and shoots him in the back. Not once. MULTIPLE TIMES.

Video of the distraught mother is played, while a police representative states that the shooting was JUSTIFIED.

Their rules, JUSTIFY, shooting a fleeing 17 yr old kid in the back.

Why'd the cop do it? He was scared. What do cops do when scared? Follow their training. So he was trained to shoot 17 yr old children in the back, for being non-compliant. Not just shoot... keep shooting. In case he misses. From 10" away.

Who's fucking idea was that?
