An interesting take on the Chinese governments reaction to Covid.
Zero covid policy.
The rationale for the zero-COVID policy was anchored, in part, in the reality of Chinaโs ill-equipped public health system. The country has 2.7 nurses per one thousand people, well below the average of 11.5 in the advanced economies, and only 4.4 intensive care beds per one hundred thousand people versus 25.8 in the United States and 33.9 in Germany.6
