The western mountains at #sunrise. It's always a fascination to watch what happens with light & color horizon to horizon. Occasionally I can get a pic showing a little of the effect. This is my view when I open the door to let dogs out. Rough life, yes?? 😄

Not exactly a "#sunset" photo, but I promise, when the sun gets ready to sink around here, lately neither it nor the cloud cover has any idea what they want to do. 🤨 Rain, shine, wind, snow, or all the above, all at once. But it makes for some interesting light effects.

The entire property is in construction chaos, but Mother Nature is not deterred. Around here she mostly seems to live by the old maxim: "The show must go on!"

A panorama shot is the only option for showing how far around the horizon the color spreads, but it always looks off to me, as it doesn't curve correctly. But best I can do. 🤷‍♀️ Prob have to pull it up on a regular monitor to see much of the span.

En #Arizona, il n'y a pas que du désert, il y a aussi des montagnes découpées en #hoodoos ! Ils sont le résidu d'une explosion volcanique que l'érosion a ensuite sculpté (Oui, parce qu'il y a aussi de la neige dans ces montagnes !). On peut les voir dans le parc national de #Chiricahua.

#Sunset tonight was so far beyond spectacular I don't even have words. I often stand and look at these colors--which are often 360* around the horizon--and can't quite figure out how they can be real. Yet here they are, present every night, different every night. Almost 8 months of watching, now, and it still boggles my brain.

Best thing I can think of to say about today (besides that it's over) is to highlight 🌞 12 more seconds of daylight😎 today. Included in the additional :12 was a pretty sunset in which even the little waxing crescent moon agreed to make an appearance. Y'all stay safe out there. Tomorrow's another day.

It's not the most dramatic sunset I've ever seen here, but compared to what others are watching, I rate it as approximate 100K times better than watching a winter blizzard. After all, I think we had almost 10 seconds of additional daylight today. What's not to love about that? 😄 🙃
