We visited one of my favourite places again today, the disused tin mines at #Botallack in #Cornwall
Just how anyone could work in such a precarious location is beyond me. Its such a beautiful place but I'd be terrified of going into those mines, it must have been a very dangerous way to earn a living.
I didn't see any #Choughs which was a shame as I've spotted them here before, they're still a reasonably rare sight. We certainly don't have any on the Isle of Wight.
Happy New Year all you lovely people! xx
Not very Christmassy weather in South #Wales today but great for a #ChristmasEve walk through #BlaenYCwm nature reserve to #MonknashBeach and as a bonus, the #Choughs were displaying well (though a bit too far away to get a decent photo).

On the second day of #Christmas
My true love sent to me:
Two choughing #choughs...
Today I had a close encounter of the Chough kind.
Two pairs flying together and feeding on the grass just a few feet away from me.
They are just such wonderful characters, they always lift my spirits. Calls like a squeaky toy! 😆
Just delightful to see them doing so well!
