The #NYTimes is talking about slow #birding this week, right as #ChristmasBirdCount season begins - for many about finding as many #birds as possible, but also a great excuse to explore out of the way places where people might not otherwise look for birds. For me that means the farms and woods around #UConn, where the best of the best was not a bird but a bobcat appearing from the bushes and sauntering down the path ~20 m away.
