I asked them what I should do & they told me I could come back tomorrow (today) to do an intake. I inspected her for fleas or any other noticable neglegencies but saw none, thankfully. So I brought her home until I could decide what to do. Her & my own #dog hit it off quickly.

She did great overnight but sadly, I am not in a position to have 2 dogs. In fact, I'm in the process of getting my dog to be trained as a #servicedog because of my #heartdisease & other #chronicilless. (More below)

I've always been someone who likes to get stuck in. A year ago I was still volunteering across 4 different non-profits, and providing services pro bono to several others. Chronic illness has meant I have to take a step back. I just don't have the energy - but I still have the ambition. I need help re-routing my efforts into low energy, but high impact activity. Any thoughts? I favor environmental and social justice causes, particularly around healthcare.

I have a G-J tube and have been venting blood from the G tube for over a week. Second holiday weekend in a row that I have been sent to the ER for the same stomach bleed. First time they released me after the blood flow stopped and told me to follow up with my GI. He is on vacation and I don't see him until 1/17. Meanwhile, I sit in a crowded ER when what I really need is a fix, not a series of band aids.

We are just setting up but we are a mask mutual aid group that aims to ensure everyone who wants masks but can't afford them, gets them.

Everyone and anyone should be aiming to mask with or without mandates because #covid is getting more deadly as it continues to mutate unmitigated, not just for their own health but the health of their family, friends, flatmates etc.

We will be taking donations for both masks and air purifiers in order to redistribute them to people who can't afford them.

We will be taking physical donations as well as monetary donations once we have that end set up. We are located in wellington but please feel free to start a chapter in your location too if you are elsewhere.

We aim to bring clean air and good quality masks to everyone who needs or wants them.

We all need this and especially when we are sick. There were so many mutual aid groups set up to help each other early in pandemic but what about now? People are still getting sick and if living on their own increasingly isolated. What help is there to provide those 3 C's?
