Dort entdeckte einen Kühlschrank, dessen Griff mir bekannt vorkam, denn Omas Quelle Kühlschrank hatte den gleichen. Nach dem Tod meiner Oma 1993 haben wir den entsorgt. Reading the obituaries about William Friedkin today, I realized that he was the director mentioned in a bio I was reading about Howard Hawks many years ago.

There was an anecdote about a boyfriend of his (Hawks') daughter who fancied himself a movie director. He asked for some advice and Hawks said something along the lines of "car chases are always good".

And then the dude went on to direct The French Connection...

I just heard about the #TCM layoffs and as pissed as I was when #TCMUnderground was cancelled the channel needs to continue. It's not the 70s where all you had to do was turn on a TV with no cable and watch #ClassicFilms all the time. #TCM is culturally important. Personally it got me through a tough time once and gave me my love of #FilmNoir and greatly improved my love of #CultFilms . $TCM needs to continue. #SaveTCM
